Basic Course

From Tuesday, September 30th to Tuesday, November 4th | 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM

Learn all the essential techniques to get started in the world of ceramics!

In these six two-hour sessions, we'll explore the three main techniques of manual ceramic modeling, then refine and decorate all your creations. This way, by the end of the course, you'll have the foundation to replicate what you've learned on your own!

1st Meeting - Tuesday 30/09:
Introduction to the world of ceramics and explanation of the pizzicato technique.
2nd Meeting - Tuesday 07/10:
Lesson dedicated to the coiling technique.
3rd Meeting - Tuesday 14/10:
This evening the latest modeling technique will be presented: the plate.
4th Meeting - Tuesday 21/10:
Finishing of the pieces and explanation of the decoration technique with slips.
5th Meeting - Tuesday 28/10:
Lesson dedicated to decoration.
6th Meeting - Tuesday 04/11:
The secret behind the shine and waterproofness of ceramic is finally revealed: the glaze!

During the course, one object will be created for each technique illustrated, for a minimum total of three pieces! I will then personally oversee the firing of the creations, which will be available approximately three weeks after the end of the course.

PRICE:

The price of the entire course is €215: all materials, tools, and cooking are included.
Upon registration, only a €100 deposit will be required. In the event of cancellation, the fee will be refunded only if cancellation is communicated within one week before the course start date.

NB This course is intended as a path for hobbyists, therefore it is not aimed at those who want to follow the path of ceramics as a profession.
